Multi-OS Environments meets Centralized NAS.
Rather than let old hardware go to waste, I repurposed an ASUS VivoBook (X515EA/A516EA) into a low-power, bare-metal Proxmox VE hypervisor tied directly into a Synology DS925+ NAS for centralized storage and automated snapshot backups.
The homelab bridges enterprise domain management, cybersecurity testing, and multi-OS endpoint administration. Proxmox hosts virtual machines running Windows Server 2019 & Server 2025 alongside Kali Linux for network auditing, general Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) for automation, and Windows 11. Physical testing is expanded across primary and legacy endpoints using a 2020 MacBook and a 2015 MacBook for cross-platform validation.
This hybrid lab provides an active sandbox to test Active Directory policies, security hardening, network scanning, and storage targets without risk to client environments.
